Insights

The full page is a presentation. This is the same thing in plain words, in about a minute.

Insights is the analyst a small business was never going to hire. You ask questions of your own data in plain English, it computes the answer against your real figures, charts it, and explains what it means. Every finding is labelled fact, projection or judgment, and nothing acts until you approve it.

The problem

Most businesses have years of data they’ve never looked at, trapped in the till system, the shop platform or the accounts package. So decisions get made on impression, which is sometimes right and often wrong in a way that costs money for years.

How an answer is made

The engine computes. The AI explains. The AI never does the arithmetic. Ask most AI tools about your sales and you get a fluent, plausible number that was invented. Here, every figure came out of a real computation against your real data. Strip out the computation and it produces no figures at all rather than making some up.

Forecasting

Before projecting anything, it tests itself against your own history. Then it gives you the most it can stand behind: a precise forecast, a directional signal, or the facts and the trend with a plain statement that month to month isn’t reliably predictable. When it was built, it was tested on several years of a real business’s trading history and said exactly that.

What it does with what it finds

It investigates on its own, given a statement of what matters to you. It ranks the customers slipping away by what they’re worth. It proposes actions, a task, a drafted email, a note, which wait for a person’s approval. It watches for a figure crossing a line and tells you once. It sends scheduled reports, but only once you switch that on. And it takes whatever data you have, a spreadsheet included, and works out what each column means.

The finding that pays for it

One business discovered that a very small number of trade accounts produced roughly a quarter of its revenue. A different kind of customer, worth a different kind of attention, hiding in plain sight for years.
